Insulin and diabetic supplies
Insulin
We know that the cost of insulin can be a roadblock to managing your diabetes. Going without your insulin or taking less than you should can lead to serious health issues. At Univera Healthcare, we care about your health and want to see you stay on track with your insulin medication.
Our Part D members will pay no more than $35 for a one-month supply of a covered insulin through the deductible and initial phases of the Part D benefit. Your copay can vary depending on your plan. Our Expanded Insulin Coverage guide will help you determine your copay and which covered insulins are on the formulary.
Insulin is also covered under your Part B benefit if you use insulin in a traditional insulin pump. You will pay a $35 maximum copay for any insulin that is being used in your insulin pump and is filled at an in-network pharmacy or durable medical (DME) provider. The Part B deductible does not apply to insulin filled under the Part B benefit.
Diabetic supplies
If you have diabetes, you may need supplies or routine tests to monitor your blood sugar. Our Guide to Diabetes Coverage helps you determine what diabetic products are covered under your Part B (medical) benefit or your Part D (pharmacy) benefit.
