Did You Know? SSNs and Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TINs)

In the October edition of Employer News, we asked for your help in providing complete and accurate social security numbers for enrollees and each of the dependents to be covered on their medical plan.

Did you know?

Under the reporting obligations of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), social security numbers are referred to as Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TINs). For more information about ACA reporting and notifications, refer to pages 12 and 13 in the Employer’s Guide to Health Care Reform (PDF).
